With nearly two decades of experience in matchmaking and as a dating coach, James had a lot of good information for us, from his top 3 secrets to dating, looking for green flags, and moving on when we are not treated with respect. As pet lovers, we loved his puppy analogy for men!
“I say treat men like puppies because when they're young and when they're new, they're trying to impress you. So you do what? Guide them in the right way. Be nice to them. If they’re nice to you, you pay them attention. If they're not, then you don't. So you reward good behavior because after three months in, it's very difficult to change someone's behavior in the way that they treat you.”—James Preece
James talked about the importance of continuing to date our partners, spouses, and significant others to keep the relationship alive, because all successful relationships take work and effort.
One of our favorite messages from James was that it is never too late to find love and there is someone for everyone. “Don't think because you're in your forties or fifties, even sixties, even nineties, that you're not going to find somebody. There is someone out there for everybody. There are millions and millions and millions of people that are single and looking. Just get yourself out there and start looking.”—James Preece
